About Nijat Yafta Kon?

Nijat Yafta Kon?

This book, “Nijat Yafta Kon?”, explains who will be successful in the Hereafter and who will attain high ranks in Paradise. It outlines the beliefs and practices of the Saved Group, those who are truly successful in the sight of Allah. The book highlights the beliefs and way of life of the Salaf (righteous predecessors) and how they lived their lives in complete obedience to Allah. It guides readers toward good deeds and explains which actions lead to innovation (Bid’ah), misguidance, and ultimately, the Hellfire.

What Beliefs Did the Salaf Follow?

The Salaf, including the Sahabah (Companions), Tabi‘een (Followers), and righteous generations after them, held firmly to pure Tawheed (oneness of Allah). They worshipped only Allah and stayed completely away from all forms of shirk (associating partners with Allah). Their beliefs were based entirely on the Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

They believed in all of Allah’s Names and Attributes exactly as described in the Qur’an, without changing or comparing them to human qualities. They had firm faith in the Hereafter, Day of Judgment, Paradise, and Hellfire. They accepted every word of the Prophet ﷺ and followed it without adding anything new to the religion.

What Good Deeds Can We Do to Improve Our Lives?

From the themes of the book, it's clear that the Salaf emphasized simple and sincere good deeds that can help us improve our lives and get closer to Allah. These include:

Praying the five daily prayers: Offering each prayer on time with sincerity.

Reading and acting upon the Qur’an: Understanding its meanings and living by its guidance.

Making du‘a (supplication) to Allah: Asking Allah for goodness, for Paradise, and protection from Hellfire.

Helping the poor and needy: Giving charity and supporting those in need.

Being kind to parents: Respecting and caring for one’s mother and father.

Speaking the truth and avoiding lies: Always staying truthful.

Being patient: Remaining calm in hardships and trusting Allah.

Repenting from sins: Immediately asking Allah for forgiveness when one makes a mistake.

These actions purify the heart and bring us closer to Allah, increasing our chances of success in the Hereafter and attaining a high place in Paradise.

What things did the Salaf avoid, and what did they consider innovations or misguidance?

The Salaf avoided anything that went against the Qur’an and Sunnah. They considered bid’ah (religious innovations) to be anything newly introduced into Islam that was not part of the Prophet’s ﷺ teachings. They believed that:

Creating new religious customs: For example, inventing new ways of worship not practiced by the Prophet ﷺ.

Turning grave visits into acts of worship: Like asking help from the dead or showing extreme reverence to graves.

Inventing new beliefs: Such as believing others can hear prayers or help besides Allah.

Exaggerating in religious acts: Doing things in the name of religion that are not approved by the Shari‘ah, like fasting in strange ways or performing acts not taught by the Prophet ﷺ.

They believed innovations led to misguidance because they changed the true message of Islam and led people away from the correct path.

What actions did they believe could lead a person to Hellfire?

According to the book and the understanding of the Salaf, there are certain actions that lead a person toward the Hellfire, including:

Committing shirk (associating partners with Allah): Like asking graves for help or worshipping others besides Allah.

Introducing Bid‘ah: Adding new things to the religion that the Prophet ﷺ never taught.

Major sins: Such as lying, stealing, adultery, and drinking alcohol.

Disobeying Allah: Ignoring commands like not praying or not fasting.

Oppressing others: Wronging people, taking their rights, or harming them.

Following misguided sects: Listening to or joining groups that go against the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The Salaf believed these actions led people away from Allah’s mercy and into misguidance and destruction, so they strongly warned against them and advised others to avoid them as well.

Conclusion:

This book teaches us that if we follow the way of the Salaf, do righteous deeds, stay away from innovations and sins, and sincerely seek Allah’s pleasure, we can become successful in the Hereafter and earn a high place in Paradise.
